The effects of Covid-19 on the Police Family’s finances

Although most members of the Police Family have secure jobs and a steady income, some of their family members don’t. In many cases, Police employees are supporting partners and other close family members who have lost jobs or receiving a reduced level of income.

Before the pandemic, our team were visiting different Police Stations all over the country on a daily basis, to spread the word about the Credit Union and our services. The Police Family need our help now more than ever, so we’ve found new ways of telling people about our services and providing financial education, while visits to some forces are restricted.

Simply complete the form below and we’ll be in contact to have a chat about how we can help.

If you would like to contact us directly, you can email us at marketing@no1copperpot.com or give us a call on 0161 741 3160 and ask to speak to a member of the Marketing Team.

We help the Police Family financially by:

Encouraging people to save

As a credit union, we encourage our members to save a small amount each month into an easy access savings account, so that over time they develop an increased level of financial security. This means that if an unexpected bill comes along, members can use their savings, rather than using a loan or credit card and potentially having to pay interest.

Providing affordable loans

We also offer affordable loans for a range of purposes, from funding holidays to consolidating debts. All loan applications are personally assessed by one of our Loans Officers, and decisions are based on affordability rather than your credit score alone. We do not charge representative APR on any of our loans which means that if approved, the rate you see is the rate you get, regardless of your credit history.

Offering financial education

Most of us have received little to no financial education. We believe that having more knowledge on how things work in the world of finance could help you to make better financial decisions and improve your financial position.
