Friends of No1 CopperPot lottery is currently licenced by Metropolitan Borough of Stockport, reference number 001166. It is managed and overseen by the Friends of No1 CopperPot, which comprises of voluntary elected Credit Union members.

All employees and any contractors associated with the Friends of No1 CopperPot’s lottery will be made aware of any relevant policies and procedure and will be obliged to operate in accordance with them. The Friends of No1 CopperPot abide by the Credit Union’s policies in regard to all regulatory or legislative requirements. Further detail can be found within the Responsible Gambling Policy.

Friends of No1 CopperPot are required to make an annual financial contribution to organisations which deliver or support research into the prevention and treatment of gambling-related harms, harm prevention approaches and treatment for those harmed by gambling (RET contributions). At this time there is no set amount which has to be contributed. At the end of the financial year, which is the 30th of September, 1% of net ticket sales will be issued to Young Gamers & Gamblers Education Trust (YGAM). This is a charity who support in the research and prevention of gambling addiction and are rolling out training programmes on the issue of gambling and gaming harms across UK police forces. This donation will be made after the AGM.

Making a complaint

Friends of No1 CopperPot are committed to upholding a high standard of member service with the public. If any member of the public is concerned or has any feedback regarding the method of promoting the lottery or the lottery campaign itself, it can contact Friends of No1 CopperPot to raise its concerns at info@no1copperpot.com. All communications will be passed on to the Society Chair, Paul Kelly.

All complaints and feedback will be treated individually, professionally and will be acknowledged and initially responded to within 48 hours.

Any disputes will be managed through the Independent Betting Adjudication Service. (IBAS)

Friends of No1 CopperPot lottery was set up to help support the development and training of No1 CopperPot, giving back to the wider police community and giving members the opportunity to win prizes too. The distribution of proceeds for each ticket is shown below:

Self-exclusion

Friends of No1 CopperPot are committed to supporting members who wish to self-exclude from the lottery and restrict their own gambling. If you wish to do this you can contact the Credit Union by telephone or email and a colleague will discuss your options. The minimum period for self-exclusion is 6 months but you can elect a period of up to 5 years. We would also encourage members to register with a multi operator self-exclusion scheme such as GAMSTOP. Protection of funds

We are required by our licence to inform members about what happens to funds which we hold on account for you prior to the lottery draw taking place, and the extent to which funds are protected in the event of insolvency. Friends of No1 CopperPot do not hold member funds. All members funds are held by No1 CopperPot Credit Union in an account separate from Friends of No1 CopperPot. Prior to the monthly lottery draw taking place any funds held are protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme if No1 CopperPot Credit Union should become insolvent. In the event that Friends of No1 CopperPot should become insolvent all funds will be made available for withdrawal or can be transferred into a savings account held with the Credit Union.
